To remove the browser, simply press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal and run the command below: sudo apt remove -autoremove google-chrome-stable Search for and open Google Chrome, or right-click on icon and select “ Pin to Dash” so it will stick to the left dock. While installing the browser, it adds Google repository automatically in your system.
So, installing regular updates via apt or ‘Software Updater’ may also update the Chrome package. To remove Google repository, open “ Software & Updates” from overview screen.
